Welcome to the CIRH
Our centre has been dedicated to Assisted Reproduction since 1989. Since then, the centre has grown to encompass new techniques, in order to help solve the problem of couples unable to have children.
Our initial premise, one which we have attempted to maintain since the centre was first founded, is to provide personalised treatment to all patients and all the support they may need. We believe this is absolutely essential if the treatments are to be successful.
Should you choose to visit our centre, we will try to study your case as speedily and efficiently as possible. We know that the success of these treatments depend on the patient’s age, which is why treatment can begin as soon as you visit us for the first time and does not depend on any waiting lists.
Nace el primer niño mediante la técnica del IMSI realizada en el centro CIRH
Nace el 20 de julio de 2009, en Barcelona, el primer bebé concebido por IMSI en España.El bebé nació a las 41 semanas de gestación, se trata de un varón de 4100 g de peso y se encuentra en perfecto estado.
La IMSI es una nueva técnica que complementa a la ICSI, ya que permite visualizar los espermatozoides a más de 8000 aumentos, permitiendo realizar una exhaustiva valoración del núcleo del espermatozoide, con lo que se puede seleccionar aquellos espermatozoides que presentan una mejor morfología, descartando de este modo los peor formados y que con técnicas como la ICSI no se observaban como anormales.
IMSI (Intracytoplasmic Morphology selected Sperm Injection)
IMSI has come to Spain! This technique allows sperm to be magnified 8,000 times to select the ones presenting the best morphology and boost the results of assisted reproduction.

The CIRH has been awarded first prize for the best poster presented in the XXVII National Congress of the Spanish Fertility Society, held from 28 to 30 May 2008 in Oviedo
